A Toast and thoughts

To live well, love well and let others say what they will.

Stop and look at things called distractions.  It might take one somewhere new, somewhere interesting. That is what I have been doing for a few months and I am finding something new.

Let It All Begin Again

Thanks to the sea, thanks to the tall grass prairie, thanks to Europe, thanks to Debussy and Satie, thanks to the desert, thanks to Spring, thanks to the orange sunsets, thanks to the luminous light, thanks to dreams.  Let it all begin again ---again--again!

Looking at it and wondering if it is looking back.  So, in the meantime, I will sort the laundry!

The joy of creating to me is finding a way to express whatever is there at the moment or has been resting in the unconscious. 

Inspiration is my well and necessity pushes it to reality. 

The sound of rain, the fiery red March sunset against the snow, and the song of a robin urges me on.

Dawn to Dusk 1

My husband and I went to a Da Vinci exhibit in Des Moines and this quote resonated with me:  "Where the spirit does not work with the mind, there is no art." Leonardo Da Vinci

My world is WHITE at the moment......and what beauty it is.  An inspiration to play with white and a few additions of color.  That will be my February inspiration for new work and looking at things in new ways.
